Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri has completed his term. The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is hosting a function on Tuesday to bid him farewell.
Ambassador Puri had paid a farewell call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Sunday.
Embassy sources say Puri, however, will stay in Kathmandu till the last week of December. He was appointed the Indian ambassador to Nepal in March 2017.
The New Delhi government has not yet decided who will succeed Puri. Nevertheless, Vikas Swarup, Akhilesh Mishra and Gopal Bagale have been considered potential candidates for the position.
