3 killed in Solukhumbu tipper fall

Three persons have died when a tipper fell off the road in Solukhumbu district of eastern Nepal on Sunday night.

The tipper transporting construction materials for a hydropower project in the Solu stream fell off the road at around 11 pm yesterday, killing three persons on the spot and injuring one.

The victims have been identified as Kamal Magar from Thakre rural municipality of Dhading, Raj Kumar Magar from Bagmati rural municipality of Makawanpur, and Krishna Lal Chaudhary from Surunga municipality of Saptari. Kamal Magar was behind the wheel when the jeep fell around 100 metres down the road.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Magar (23) from Bagmati rural municipality-4 of Makawanpur sustained critical injuries in the accident.
