Palpa, December 22
One person has died and two have been injured in a tipper accident in Palpa.
Bishnu Dhakal, 30, of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-3, Palpa died when a tipper (Ra 1 Kha 2404) collided with another vehicle at Laghuwama in Ribdikot Rural Municipality-2 at around 8.30 pm on Thursday.
He was pronounced dead by doctors on arrival at the hospital, Palpa police spokesperson Sugandha Shrestha said.
Yamraj Pun, 32, of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-12 in Dang and Himal Gharty of Triveni Rural Municipality-5 in Rolpa were seriously injured in the accident. The injured are being treated at United Mission Hospital Tansen, police said.
According to the District Police Office, Palpa, the tipper carrying four persons including the driver fell about 150 meters from the road.
The driver of the tipper is safe and police have taken him into custody and further investigations are continuing.
