An earthquake struck Nepal on Friday. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake occurred at 11:53 AM, with its epicenter in Phulpingkot, Sindhupalchok.
On April 25, 2015, exactly a decade back, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake with its epicenter in Barpak, Gorkha, claimed the lives of nearly 9,000 people. Sindhupalchok was the hardest-hit district at the time.
Today’s tremor was felt in Sindhupalchok and some surrounding districts, but no damage has been reported.
