Kathmandu, April 17
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 283,658 as of Saturday afternoon.
The ministry says 768 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 5,333 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 340,417 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 5,545 cases are active.
Of the total cases so far, 275,038 people have achieved recovery whereas 3,075 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 226 people have been discharged whereas five deaths were reported.
Nearly 80 people are quarantined across the country.
