A seven-year-old missing for the past four days has been found dead in the Gurbhakot municipality-5 of the Surkhet district in Karnali.
Grishma BK was found dead in a maize field, around 500 metres away from her house on Tuesday morning, according to police.
BK was missing since Friday. After locals had spotted the body, they informed the police this morning.
Bimal Dangi, the chief of a nearby APF battalion, says police have arrested a 20-year-old man on the charge of murdering the child.
Currently, a high-level officials’ team led by Chief District Officer Khagendra Rijal had reached the site.
Further investigation is underway.
The deceased was living with her grandmother as her father is abroad for a job and the mother is already dead.
