Kathmandu, June 9
A truck hit has killed a pedestrian on the Prithvi Highway in Chalise, Dhunibeshi municipality-6 of the Dhading district, around 25 km west of Kathmandu, on Wednesday night.
The victim has been identified as Ram Maya BK (44), a resident of Darbung, Gandaki municipality-5 of the neighbouring Gorkha district.
BK, on foot, was hit by the truck (Na 4 Kha 5173) heading westwards along the highway at around 9:30 pm yesterday.
Seriously injured, she was rushed to the National Trauma Centre in Kathmandu, where she died during treatment.
Meanwhile, Dhading police have arrested the truck driver for further investigation.
