Nepal sees 309 new industrial enterprises in a year, generating 28,507 new jobs

The government says that it registered 309 new industrial enterprises in a year, generating 28,507 new jobs.

The Department of Industry made the data from the fiscal year 2021/22 public on Friday on the occasion of the 8th National Industry Day in Kathmandu.

Rs 34.35 billion has been invested in these entities.

Of the new enterprises, most (103) are located in the Gandaki province and the least (12) in Sudurpaschim.

Scale-wise, 91 of them are big companies, 108 are of medium scale and 110 are small-scale industrial enterprises.
