A bus hit a cyclist in Kanchanpur, killing him in the process.
According to the police, 21-year-old Kabiraj Vaidya died after a bus in Bedkot municipality-7 of Kanchanpur on the east-west highway hit his bicycle on Friday morning.
The bus (Na 6 Kha 6521) was going towards Darchula hit Vaidya who was going to college on his bicycle, informed inspector Bharat Raj Giri.
Following the accident, the situation has become tense in Bedkot as locals have obstructed the east-west highway.
Locals blocked the highway, demanding action against the culprits and compensation for the victim’s families.
