The Kathmandu View Tower, a controversial multipurpose building under construction in central Kathmandu, has been open for private vehicle parking.
Although the basement of the building was said to be meant for public bus parking, the Kathmandu metropolitan city opened it for private parking. No fees have been levied on parking now.
The city government spokesperson Naveen Manandhar says 300 cars and 700 motorbikes and scooters can be accommodated there.
Kathmandu metropolitan city’s traffic advisor Jagat Man Shrestha says the facility will be opened later for pick-and-drop facilities for the public buses playing roads within the city.
