Kathmandu, June 20
The government has instructed the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi to understand the situation regarding the Akhand Bharat (Undivided India) map and submit a report.
Foreign Minister NP Saud told the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives he had asked the embassy to submit a report on the issue.
The map displayed within the newly constructed Indian parliament building includes Lumbini, Kapilvastu, and other regions of Nepal.
Following the release of the map, India has faced criticism within Nepal, putting pressure on the government to respond and take a stance against India’s actions.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda faced criticism for not addressing concerns about the controversial map during his visit to India.
