Price list: Flagship smartphones available in Nepal up to July 2023

The first half of 2023 has come to a close, and the Nepali market has witnessed a flurry of smartphone launches across various price segments. The market has been flooded with flagship smartphones from renowned brands worldwide, including popular Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi and OnePlus, leading Android players from Korea like Samsung, and the American giant Apple.

From affordable low-budget options to impressive mid-range options and top-of-the-line flagship smartphones, a wide range of phones have made their way into Nepal.

Here we have listed five flagship smartphones available in the Nepali market.

1. Xiaomi 13 Pro

Specifications

First on the list of flagship smartphones is Xiaomi 13 Pro which was launched in the first week of April 2023 in Nepal. The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi’s budget and mid-range smartphones are very popular in Nepal and this flagship also caught the eye of many Xiaomi users and enthusiasts.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro features a redesigned, sleek design with a pleasing curved display. It sports a 6.67-inch curved WQHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1900 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, it offers two RAM variants (8GB and 12GB) and storage options (up to 12/512GB).

The highlight of the phone is its collaboration with Leica, featuring a triple camera setup with a 1-inch sensor and various photography modes. It has a 32MP front camera and supports high-quality video recording.

With a 4820mAh battery, it supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone also includes LiquidCool Technology for efficient cooling and offers security features like an in-screen fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.

It is available in two colours: ceramic white and ceramic black.

2. OnePlus 11

OnePlus’s flagship smartphones are known to be the flagship killer for the features they gave in the price range. In the last couple of years, OnePlus quite lacked this phrase. But the OnePlus 11 has given some ray of hope to get this name and fame back which OnePlus once used to hold.

The OnePlus 11 5G showcases an elegant design featuring curved edges and the added protection of Gorilla Glass. Its 6.7-inch QHD+ Super Fluid AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is available in 8GB or 16GB RAM options along with 128GB or 256GB storage capacity.

3. Honor Magic5 Pro

Third on the list of flagship smartphones is a very recent launch from Honor. We generally do not hear much when we think about flagship smartphones from Honor, but its flagship smartphones are very popular in China and Latin America. Honor Magic5 Pro which recently launched in Nepal is also a good option for those who want to shift from the typical popular smartphones dominating the market.

The Honor Magic5 Pro stands out as a flagship smartphone with its elegant design inspired by Antoni Gaudí’s architectural style. The 6.81-inch LTPO OLED panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, delivering vibrant and lifelike visuals.

Under the hood, the Magic5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage ensure ample space for multitasking and storing files. The device runs on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13, providing a user-friendly interface.

The Honor Magic5 Pro features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera supporting optical zoom. 4 Samsung S23 Ultra

Specifications

Samsung’s flagship smartphone for the year 2023 is the Samsung S23 Ultra. This flagship has recently got a sweet price cut in Nepal.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra maintains a similar design to its predecessor, the S22 Ultra, with a boxier look and a heavier feel. It has a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x Infinity-O Display with a resolution of 3088 x 1440 pixels and a super bright display with a peak brightness of 1750 nits.

In terms of performance, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform. The phone comes in different RAM and storage variants, with options of 12/256GB and 12/512GB in Nepal.

The Apple flagship for 2022 the iPhone 14 Pro series made its way to Nepal quite late due to the import ban. The flagship after launch has got a sweet price cut and is favoured by many people for its performance, name and camera.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are flagship devices from Apple’s iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 Pro sports a compact 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, the Pro Max takes it up a notch with a larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display. Both displays offer stunning visuals with HDR support, True Tone technology, and a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits.
