If you are the one who enjoys local culture, food, music and art, you can visit ‘The Harisiddhi Art Mela’ on January 2 at Harisiddhi.
It is organised jointly by the Rotary Club of Yala, Hamro Matoghar, E-Arts Nepal and Chiva Chaitya. According to a press statement released by organisers, the festival includes 50 plus artworks by 22 contemporary artists, a music band from a local school, art workshops for three local schools, and stalls of local products including mouth-savouring Newa food delights.
It added that they are galvanising support to organise such Art Mela in other less exposed Newa settlements in the fringe of the Kathmandu Valley to raise awareness of the rich heritage and culture and empower young artists for their sustainable future.
