Gulariya, May 24
A woman died in a tiger attack in Bardiya district on Thursday. The victim is Manisha Rokaya, 35, of Hasanapur from Baijanath rural municipality-8 of the neighbouring district, Banke.
Tulsiram Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Bardiya District Police Office, informed that Rokaya died in the tiger attack near Janachetana community forest of Bansgadhi municipality-4. However, her sister Kailash Pati Tharu, 40, escaped the attack. They were going together to Bansgadhi municipality-4.
Chief of the Division Forest Office, Bardiya, Prabin Bidari, informed that an investigation into the incident was underway.
