Kathmandu, November 14
Sunflower Weekender, a music and art festival, will take place on November 15 at Godavari Village Resort. The two-day festival will showcase some of Nepal’s finest artists from various genres.
The lineup includes 13 Nepali artists and bands, such as Purna Rai and Daju Bhai Haru, Kuma Sagar and The Khwopa, KTA Haru, Kanta Dab Dab, SPACE, Stotram, Ankit Shrestha and The Band, Brihat Pahari and The Band, Grunchiez, ASM, Shailu Rai Collective, OMG SPARK, and Yodda.
For electronic music lovers, the Water Stage by the pool will host 18 DJs and music producers. A speakeasy bar will also feature vinyl-only sets by Richard Shahi, a dedicated vinyl collector.
The festival’s Artisan Corner will host a bustling market of local artisans showcasing handmade goods. For some lighthearted entertainment, Laugh and Clap will present stand-up comedy performances. Wellness sessions throughout the weekend include a run with Meltdown, a sound bath session by Seed, and Vinyasa Flow yoga led by Aakash Singh.
To close the Weekender with a meaningful experience, attendees will gather for “The Great Fire” ritual on the second day—a collective event where participants can write down burdensome thoughts, toss them into the flames, and symbolically release them.
“We’ve poured our hearts into making Sunflower Weekender a place where people can let loose, connect, and feel inspired,” said Aditya Chaudhary. “It’s about creating a space that’s fun, but also genuine—a place where everyone is welcome to be themselves, connect with others, and just enjoy.”
