Kathmandu, December 18
A father has killed his son in Bhaktapur following a domestic dispute. The incident occurred when 63-year-old Deep Bahadur Shahi fatally attacked his 31-year-old son, Narendra Bahadur Shahi, with a vegetable-cutting knife during an argument.
Originally from Kamal Nagar Municipality-6 in Achham, the family had been residing near the Shahid Smriti Sports Ground in Bhaktapur Municipality-2.
The attack took place around 10:15 pm last night during a heated dispute. Narendra Bahadur, who sustained severe injuries, was rushed to Bhaktapur Hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries at 10:45 pm, according to Bhaktapur District Police Office.
The body was sent to Kathmandu Medical College, Duwakot, for post-mortem at 12:15 am. Police have taken Deep Bahadur Shahi into custody for further investigation.
