Kathmandu, March 13
The CPN-UML has suggested party President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to ask China to construct petroleum storage facilities in three places. PM Oli is embarking on a visit to China on March 20.
The suggestion came during the UML standing committee meeting held on Sunday. The meeting asked Oli to deepen Nepal-China relations. Participants suggested that PM Oli ask China to construct the storage facilities in Panchkhal of Kavre, Battar of Nuwakot and Abu Khaireni of Tanahun.
After the meeting, UML secretary Yogesh Bhattarai told Onlinekhabar: We suggested (PM Oli) to talk (with China) about easing supply of essentials like oil, cooking gas and salt.
The party suggested the Oli government to sign a transit treaty with China, apart from drawing attention towards slow pace of construction of projects like Ring Road expansion.
Bhattarai said: The government has incorporated some agendas and we have sugested inclusion of some more.
