Kathmandu, October 21
Janardan Sharma, CPN-Maoist Centre leader and Energy Minister, is facing charges of misusing signatures of lawmakers from the party for pressing an impeachment motion against CIAA Chief Commissioner Lok Man Singh Karki.
At Thursday’s meeting of the Maoist Headquarters, some lawmakers had demanded action against Sharma for misusing their signatures.
Responding to questions from Onlinekhabar, Minister Sharma said confusion among some party lawmakers is but natural as some tasks need to be executed in a covert manner.
‘Won’t comment much about the signatures, (party) Chair also knows about the episode,’ Sharma said, adding: Our party is clear on taking action against Lok Man. The party’s decision is that Lok Man must face action.
Minister Sharma said he may not have been able to remove confusion in some lawmakers as he had to act in haste.
But confused lawmakers are no longer confused after Thursday’s meeting of the party.
He said: The impeachment motion has moved ahead, so the party cannot backtrack from it now. As an honest soldier of the party, I am ready to face action if the party decides to take action against me.
