Kathmandu, September 12
People found talking on the phone while driving could have their licenses suspended for six months, if a draft legislation to amend to the Transport Management Act is approved by Parliament.
According to the draft amendment, any person caught talking on the phone while driving will not be allowed to drive during the suspension period. Any ‘suspended’ driver found behind the wheel will be treated akin to those who drive without a license.
The draft legislation is under consideration at the transport ministry.
