Kathmandu, August 18
Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi is heading to the Indian capital on Thursday in his capacity as Prime Minister Prachanda’s special emissary.
During his five-day visit to New Delhi, Nidhi is expected to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, home minister Rajnath Singh, and ruling party (BJP) president Amit Shah
Nidhi’s visit comes few days after PM Prachanda decided to send his deputy Krishna Bahadur Mahara to China and Nidhi to India as special emissaries. The visits have been seen as preparations for the Chinese and Indian presidents visit to Nepal. The visits are likely to take place in September/October.
