The central American republic of El Salvador has become the 144th country to establish diplomatic relations with Nepal.
Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Prakash Sharan Mahat and Foreign Minister of El Salvador Hugo Roger Martinez signed a protocol to this effect on the sidelines of the 71st session of United Nations General Assembly (NGA) in New York, on Wednesday.
Nepal and El Salvador have pledged to exchange cooperation between in the areas of mutual interest as well as economic, social and other sectors.
