Kathmandu, October 15
Few days after monsoon clouds receded from the Nepali sky, most parts of the country have witnessed a fall in the daily minimum temperature.
The minimum daily temperature is falling at 2-3 degrees every 24 hours, says the Department of Meteorology. Minimum temperature in the capital has now been recorded at around 16 degrees on the Celsius scale.
The fall in mercury indicates that winter is about to set in, says the department. “We are in the transition phase. It would be good to start wearing winter clothes in a few days,” says meteorologist Raju Pradhananga.
The department says there is no forecast of rain in the next few days, although clouds are hovering over Kathmandu and other parts of the country.
