Kathmandu, September 12
Nepal’s government has deplored the nuclear test carried out by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on September 9, 2016, defying the the United Nations Security Council and the international community.
“In line with its consistent policy of general and complete disarmament of all weapons of mass destruction, Nepal stands against such tests,” said Nepal’s foreign ministry in a statement.
It said Nepal calls upon the Government of the DPRK to refrain from such acts.
“Nepal wishes to see peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.”
