Kathmandu, October 23
The proposal registered in Parliament to impeach CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki has not been discussed at the highest political level, says Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Deuba, who was talking to student leaders from the NC-affiliated Nepal Student Union Sunday morning, said the party has not received a word from its ruling coalition partner CPN-Maoist Centre or the Prime Minister.
He told the student leaders, who submitted a petition to Deuba demanding that Karki be impeached, the Nepali Congress was discussing the issue, and would reach a decision soon.
