Speaker Onsari Gharti has announced that Parliament has been prorogued for 16 days for the Tihar and Chhath holidays, four days ahead of the government’s stipulated date.
The House, which began discussing the proposal to impeach CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki earlier today, will no convene only on November 10.
Parliament is yet to forward to proposal to the committee formed to look into the motion.
The Hindu Festival of Tihar is to begin on Friday.
