Police come under attack near Chandragiri, vehicle owner identified, search for attackers on

A police team retaliated after an unidentified gang fired at it near Chandragiri forest in Kathmandu on Thursday morning.

The police team came under attack near the jungle while pursuing a Tata Sumo vehicle numbered Na 1 Ja 3948 from Gaunthali Chok in Balambu.

Krishna Pangeni, DSP at Thankot Police Circle, said there were four attackers and they all managed to escape the scene by abandoning the vehicle.

Pangeni said they have identified the owner of the vehicle that used to operate along the Kathmandu-Sarlahi route. He said a search for the attackers is underway.
