Biratnagar, March 27
Former prime minister and coordinator of the New Force Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, has described Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China as fruitful.
Bhattarai said this while talking to the media at Biratnagar Airport on Sunday. He said: Prime Minister Oli’s China visit has taken Nepal-China relations to new heights. Both India and China are our good friends.
Bhattarai, commenting on the issue of delienation of provincial boundaries, stood against carving out more provinces. There’s a need to sort out the issues related to geographical boundaries through political understanding, the New Force leader said. He argued that provinces were delineated on the bases of identity and capacity.
With the new constitution already promulgated, all parties should focus on steering the country towards progress and prosperity, Bhattarai said. At this juncture, no party should engage in dirty games with a view to toppling government and forming a new one, he said, accusing political parties of wasting 25 long years in making and toppling governments.
