Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, and six other leaders of the party, arrested for violation of restricted area, had been released on Sunday.
They were held on charge of demonstrating in the restrict areas of Singha Durbar and Baneshwor. The leaders set free by the police were Chairman Lingden, Vice Chairman Buddhi Man Tamang, lawmaker Gyan Bahadur Shahi, Chairperson of Youth Front Kailash Katuwal and others, according to Apil Raj Bohara, spokesperson at the District Police Range.
Seven leaders including RPP Chairman Lingden were set free, he added.
