The body of Mohan Ghimire, the brother of former minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire, who along with three members of his family was missing in the Trishuli for the last two weeks, has been found.
Former minister Ghimire, two of his brothers and their mother had gone missing in the river on September 25 as the family was returning home from a pilgrimage to Muktinath. Their vehicle fell into the rain-swollen Trishuli.
Chitwan District Police chief Deepak Shrestha said the body was found 30 km downstrea near Devghat in Tanahun on Saturday morning, police said. Local police said Mohan’s driving license and wallet was found near the body.
Meanwhile, former minister Ghimire, his mother, and one brother remain missing in the river.
