Kathmandu, June 13
A minitruck hit a woman to death in Koteshwar of Kathmandu on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Samjhana Rai (34), a permanent resident of Miklajung rural municipality-5 of the Panchthar district and currently residing in Kandaghari in the capital.
Police say the truck (Na 5 Kha 2819) heading towards Jadibuti from Koteshwar had hit a motorbike (Ba 71 Pa 3054) heading towards the same direction. Seriously injured in the accident, Rai was rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
However, she died there during treatment, according to police.
Meanwhile, police arrested the truck driver for further investigation.
