Kapilvastu, August 19
An unidentified person shot and killed Raju Mallah (32), son of Kumar Mallah, at his residence in Sauraha VDC-3, Kapilvastu, at around 2 am on Friday.
Family members said the individual entered their home and shot Raju on the forehead while he was asleep, killing him on the spot.
Kapilvastu police said a search for the shooter is currently underway. The motive behind the killing is unclear. Police said a probe is underway. The incident site is five kilometres away from Kapilvastu headquarters Taulihawa.
