Kathmandu, February 9
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Bajura district on Thursday evening while returning home from school. The victim, who was on her way to Dhangadi, was reportedly threatened at knifepoint by an 18-year-old man, who then took her to his home and sexually assaulted her.
According to the District Police Office, after committing the crime, the accused fled the scene. The victim, filed a formal complaint with the police on Saturday.
DSP Kabindra Singh Bohora, spokesperson for the District Police Office, confirmed that the police received the complaint and have initiated an investigation.
“We are actively searching for the suspect,” DSP Bohora stated
