Design
The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED has a simple design on the back with the new ASUS Vivobook logo. The body is full metal which has US Military Grade durability. Even though the laptop is fully metal made, the weight is 1.5 kg falling on the lighter side. The hinge is also durable with a slight change in design which can lay-flat at 180-degree. The thickness starts from 1.39 cm at the front-end which gradually increases to 1.59 cm.
The S 16 OLED features a backlit Chiclet keyboard with a 1-zone RGB and a dedicated numeric keypad. The keys offer a comfortable typing experience with 1.7mm key travel. The precision touchpad is responsive. The keyboard includes a special Copilot key for enhanced functionality in Windows. The display has a thin bezels on the sides whereas the top includes the camera with physical privacy shutter for security and safety.
The S 16 OLED has a great display for media consumption and usage. It features 16-inch display with a 3.2K (3200 x 2000) resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The OLED screen delivers punchy vibrant visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display features 400 nits standard brightness and 600 nits peak brightness for HDR content. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut offering a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio along with VESA CERTIFIED Display HDR True Black 600. The 1.07 billion colors and glossy finish ensures vivid and sharp images. Additionally, the dispaly reduces harmful blue light by 70% and is TÜV Rheinland-certified for eye comfort with a 89% screen-to-body ratio.
The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED has AI baked into it to enhance the user experience with the Intel Core Ultra AI processor for improved performance for AI-intensive tasks. It has dedicated AI features which includes the Copilot Key for quick access to AI tools, ASUS AI Noise Canceling for clear audio during calls and ASUS AI Sense for intelligent camera controls.

The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED is powered by the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 Processor 185H. The naming of the Intel Chipset has been changed recently puuting down the “Core i” name with new tier of consumer chipset inclduing the names Core and Core Ultra. The chipset features a 24MB cache and is capable of speeds of up to 5.1 GHz. The CPU has 16 cores and 22 threads, ensuring quality performance for multitasking and demanding applications. THe chipset is supported by an Intel® Arc™ Graphics for graphics handling performance and an Intel® AI Boost NPU for advanced neural processing tasks.
The laptop runs on Windows 11 Home which includes Mircosoft office Home & Student 2021 and Microsoft 365 Basic. The memory option includes 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB M.2 NVMe™ Gen 4.0 SSD storage.
The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED features the ASUS IceCool thermal technology. It features two heat pipes, dual fans, and dual vents which efficiently manages heat during demanding tasks.
