CFMoto’s recent lineup is a talk around the globe. CFMoto made a huge comeback in Nepal in an official event that launched the 2024 editions of the CFMOTO 250SR, CFMOTO 250NK, CFMOTO 450NK, ZEEHO City Sports, Zeeho Ae6 and the Zeeho Ae6+. The lineup also teased its popular adventure tourer, the CFMoto 450 MT. The CFMoto 450 MT has been popular as the middle-weight adventure category in the Australian and European markets.
The recent design and performance upgrades have favoured CFMoto a lot. CFMoto’s 450 SS in the American market or 450 SR in the European market has been a direct competitor to many Japanese middle-weight bikes at a lower cost with advanced and more features. CFMoto’s sub-electric brand Zeeho has also been delivering quite well in the global scooter market with the AE series.
In Nepal, the 450 MT will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, Honda CRF 300 Rally, and BMW GS 310. Let’s see what the smartphone delivers in terms of specifications.

Design
The design of the CFMoto 450 MT is very futuristic. Even though it falls in the middle-weight adventure touring segment, the stance and the large fairings makes it look like a litre class adventure tourer. The front of the bike has a sharply styled LED headlamp unit which is complemented by sleek DRL in between the two projector lights.
The rally-style windshield is adjustable which can be controlled by the knob above the instrument cluster. The bike comes standard with handguards and foldable rearview mirrors. The foldable mirrors are a great help when doing hardcore off-roading to protect from dirt and stone chips.
The side of the CFMoto 450 MT is aided by the large and muscular fuel tank with a capacity of 17.5 litres. The flat and sharp fairings on the bike gives a unique futuristic look. The bike also comes with metal skid plate to protect the engine and the underside from rocks while off-roading which might not be the problem with the 220 mm ground clearance.
The single seat is comfortable with proper cushioning and features a versatile seat height design, starting with a standard height of 820mm. Riders can lower it to 800mm by adjusting the linkage bolt or raise it to 870mm using an accessory tall seat. The dual cylinder pipes connect to one on the side which flow to the exhaust pipe with dual openings which delivers a bassy exhaust note.
Coming to the rear of the CFMoto 450 MT, it features a simple tail light with all LED setup. The indicators are below the tail light in the rear mudguard. The mudguard is not that large giving it a clean finish. It has an extended grab rail and luggage rack which acts as a support for the pillion and luggage during long rides. The bike features a curved TFT display which is loaded with features and tech. The digital instrument cluster displays the basic information such as speed, fuel indicator, gear indicator, time, distance travelled and rpm and also has the control for ride modes, traction control, ABS, TPMS, smartphone connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Performance
The CFMoto 450 MT has a 449.5cc, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring a 270° crankshaft. It generates a maximum power of 32.5 kW at 8500 rpm and a torque of 44 Nm at 6250 rpm which is smooth and delivers a responsive acceleration. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission and a slipper clutch seamless gear shifts. The BOSCH EFI system ensures efficient fuel delivery, while the compression ratio of 11.5:1 enhances power output.
The CFMoto 450 MT has a rigid build with its tubular steel frame and an aluminum alloy swingarm for durability and stability. As for the suspension, the duties are handled by adjustable KYB units; 41mm upside-down front fork that are compression and damping adjustable and a multi-link rear suspension with preload, compression, and rebound adjustments. The wire-spoked rims with tubeless CST tyres; 90/90 R21 at the front and 140/70 R18 at the rear provide excellent grip and stability. The braking is managed by J.Juan brakes, featuring a 320mm single front disc with a four-piston calliper and a 240mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper.
