
Kathmandu, March 3
Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa recorded the movement of nearly 6,800 international passengers in February.
According to airport authorities, the airport handled 115 flight movements during the month, with a total of 6,779 passengers traveling through the facility.
Among them, FlyDubai carried 2,403 passengers, Jazeera Airways transported 3,265, and Thai AirAsia flew 1,097 passengers. Additionally, Nepal Airlines operated one flight, and 13 charter flights carried a total of 211 passengers.
Meanwhile, 4,040 transit passengers traveled via Nepal Airlines and FlyDubai, which connect Gautam Buddha International Airport with Tribhuvan International Airport.
The February passenger count is the highest recorded at the airport since the resumption of flights in November 2024. In comparison, the airport handled 1,365 passengers in January 2025, 3,878 in December 2024, and 4,279 in November 2024.
