Kathmandu, March 9
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa headed for Bangkok on Wednesday morning, leading a six-member team.
The team is taking part in the 14th ministerial meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue in the Thai capital.
Joint-secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mani Prasad Bhattarai and Under-secretary at the ministry, Bharat Regmi, are among the team members. DPM Thapa will also address the meeting on Thursday. From Bangkok, Thapa will leave for India. Currently, ACD has 33 countries from Asia as members. ACD’s 14th meeting will induct Nepal as its 34th member. Thapa will return home on March 12 after attending a spiritual gathering that Indian spiritual guru Ravi Shankar is organising.
