
On Tuesday, Rastriya Prajatantra Party organized a mass rally in Balkhu, Kathmandu, demanding the restoration of a constitutional monarchy and Hindu state. A mass assembly is scheduled to be held following the rally, where party president Rajendra Lingden and other leaders are set to address the gathering.
Processions from various parts of the city, including Kalanki, Kalimati, Satdobato, and Kirtipur, are converging in Balkhu. Participants in the rally are carrying portraits of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, as well as Nepal’s national flags and party flags.
RPP has stated that today’s gathering will be grand, disciplined, and peaceful. To manage the rally and assembly, the party has mobilized volunteers.
Party spokesperson Mohan Shrestha informed that President Lingden has instructed volunteers to immediately detain any suspected infiltrators and hand them over to security personnel.
