Kathmandu, March 16
The meeting of foreign secretaries from SAARC member-states is taking place in Pokhara on Wednesday.
The officials from Nepal and seven SAARC countries have already arrived in Pokhara for the meeting. Wednesday’s meeting aims to take decisions on matters that participants delved into in the past two days after deliberations. The matters discussed earlier include South Asian University, SAARC Development Fund and SAARC regional organisation.
Issues related to terrorism, drug trade, seed bank, information and communication had figured in the intersummit session. The joint-secretary-level meeting held earlier had directed the SAU to launch undergraduate programmes.
Foreign secretaries from SAARC member-states are meeting on Thursday. Prime Minister KP Oli will inaugurate the event.
