Regular international flights have begun from Pokhara International Airport.

According to the Pokhara airport office, a Himalayan Airlines flight arriving from Lhasa has landed. With this, Himalayan Airlines has become the first airline to start regular international flights from Pokhara.

The flight carried 107 passengers, including 32 Chinese nationals and 75 Nepali citizens. They were welcomed by Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Pandey and the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.

The aircraft will remain in Pokhara today and will depart for Lhasa tomorrow. Himalayan Airlines has launched weekly regular flights on the Pokhara-Lhasa route, with plans to expand services as passenger numbers grow.

Previously, chartered and regular charter flights had been operating from Pokhara, but regular international flights had not started until now. This marks a significant milestone.
