Kathmandu, March 16
Captain of the Nepali Cricket Team, Paras Khadka, is in New Delhi for medical treatment. Accompanying his wife, Paras left for the Indian capital on Monday and will return home on Saturday.
The captain’s departure for Delhi comes at a time when Team Nepal is in closed camp for training, in the run-up to Nepal’s match against Namibia, a part of the World Cricket League Championship.
Last week, Paras was admitted to Norvic Hospital as his health worsened suddenly. He was recovering after treatment at Norvic.
Jagat Tamata, interim coch for the Nepali team, said Khadka trained for two days after discharge from hospital. “No health problem was seen during the training,” Tamata told Onlinekhabar. “He went for treatment in Delhi because there are important matches ahead. He wants to take no chances,” Tamata said.
Prem Bahadur Khadka described his grandson’s (Paras’) present condition as normal. “After treatment at Norvic, he was doing well. Nonetheless, he went (to Delhi) for a thorough check-up,” Prem Bahadur Khadka said.
They left Nepal for undergoing check-up in Medanta (hospital), Prem Bahadur said, adding: Now, they are preparing to do health check at another hospital.
