Kathmandu, April 14
Police arrested two people with 302 grammes of Amphetamine, at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, on Thursday. The arrestees are Netra Gurung and Chitra Gurung of Satyadevi, Dhading. The seized drug is worth more than 90 lakh rupees, according to Nepal Police’s Narcotics Control Bureau.
According to an initial investigation, the two used to smuggle drugs originating in Thailand to different countries via the Philippines. They used to get $6,000 during each journey. Police are yet to get hold of the brains operating these drug couriers.
