Rautahat, June 9
Two people were injured when cadres of Biplav-led CPN-Maoist hurled a petrol bomb into a moving truck at Chandi Lachka, Chandrapur municipality in Rauthat district, on Thursday. The truck’s helper, Basant Magar (30) of Dhalkebar-4, sustained serious injuries when the strike enforcers attacked the truck numbered Na 6 Kha 4615 at 5.30 pm.
In the same attack, truck driver Balram Bhandari of Santapur, Chandrapur-12, has sustained minor injuries. Carrying mangos, the truck was heading to Kathmandu from Siraha district.
The two are receiving treatment at Chandranigahpur hospital. In view of the bandh, vehicles have remained off the Chandranigahpur stretch along the East-West Highway and the 42-kilometre Gaur-Chandranigahpur road.
