Anjali Lama, Nepal’s first transgender model, has been officially selected as one of the models for Lakme India Fashion Week 2017.
Lama, who was previously known as Nabin Waiba before her sex -change operation, is a known face in the Nepali modelling industry. She has walked the ramp for numerous shows locally and has also appeared on magazine covers.

Lama auditioned for the fashion show on December 14 and was selected shortly after along with few other models.
The Lakme Fashion Week 2017 will be held from February 1-5 next year in Mumbai.
