Indian headed to Kolkata from Kathmandu held with hash in Parsa, says he did it for IC 10,000

Armed Police Force’s Customs Security Battalion (Birgunj) has arrested an Indian national with five kg of hashish.

APF Superintendent of Police Sushil Subedi said the battalion found the narcotics while subjecting Sheikh Saddam to a security check in Birgunj, Parsa district. APF recovered the drug from Saddam’s bag. Saddam was on the way to Kolkata from Kathmandu.

Saddam said during interrogation that he had agreed to work as a courier as a person based in Kathmandu promised to give him INR 10,000 for delivering the consignment at  certain location. The battalion has handed over Saddam to Parsa district police office for necessary legal action.
