Kathmandu, April 17
Nepal’s Election Commission has made public the final list of voters eligible to cast their ballot in the upcoming local elections.
According to the commission, 14,054,452 Nepali citizens are qualified to vote for chiefs, deputy chiefs and council members for their respective metropolis, municipality and rural municipality. While the number of male voters stands at 7,069,714, the number of women voters is 6,984, 625. A total of 143 ‘third-gender’ voters will also be eligible to vote.
The commission said voters who were 18 years or above as of March 20, 2017.
