Kathmandu, May 4
The NGO Federation of Nepal on Thursday staged a protest in Naya Baneshwor of Kathmandu against the impeachment motion filed against Chief Justice Sushila Karki.
The demonstrators obstructed the Naya Baneshwor-Maitighar road for some minutes, leaving the traffic in a shambles.
During the demonstrations, the participants chanted slogans demanding judicial independence and an end to impunity and political interference in the judiciary.
The Federation said the demonstration was organised to ensure local level elections on schedule.
