
Kathmandu, November 17
Unidentified anti-election activists on Friday hurled an improvised explosive devise at Nepali Congress leader Ram Sharan Mahat in Nuwakot district.
Police say the incident took place in Kauthela, Kakani-5 of the district this morning.
It has been learned that some Congress leader have sustained minor injuries in the incident. They have been identified as Upendra Mishra, Sabin Lama, Yash Kumar Tamang and Lila Gharti Magar.
It has been learned that the injured are being airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment.
A jeep carrying the party cadres has been destroyed in the incident.
The former finance minister is the party’s House of Representatives candidate from Nuwakot-1.
A troop of the Armed Police Force has been sent to the incident site for probing.
