Federal Socialist Forum lawmaker Pradeep Yadav has objected to the government’s decision to bar Province 2 Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut from visiting the United States.
Speaking at a press conference organised in Parsa on Monday, lawmaker Yadav said the government was trying to impose its decision on the province. “I condemn the government’s decision on the matter and have asked it to rectify the decision,” Yadav said.
Yadav’s comment comes a few days after the central government, which has exclusive rights over the country’s foreign affairs, declined to allow Chief Minister Raut to go the US to attend a programme organised by an NGO. The government had said that the CM must not go as the government is yet to prepare the annual policy and porgrammes and the fiscal budget.
