Nepal’s state-owned petroleum monopoly NOC has reduced the price of diesel, petrol, and kerosene ahead of the inauguration of the Nepal-India fuel pipeline on Tuesday,
With the announcement, diesel and kerosene will now cost Rs 95/ltr while, petrol will be available at Rs 107/ltr. Previously, diesel and kerosene were priced at Rs 97/ltr and petrol at Rs 109/ltr.
“We have reduced the fuel prices by Rs 2,” said NOC’s executive director Surendra Paudel. He added that the new price list will come into effect from 12 pm on Tuesday, a few hours after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi remotely inaugurate the Nepa-India petroleum pipeline from their offices in Kathmandu and New Delhi.
