File: KP Sharma Oli

Kathmandu, December 2

Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre has said there has been a considerable improvement in the health condition of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli who is undergoing treatment there, after an operation for appendicitis last week.

The centre’s executive director Dr Uttam Krishna Shrestha issued a statement today to inform that the prime minister, however, is still under constant medical observation.

Oli is still in the intensive care unit of the hospital, but he has been able to talk to people and walk around, according to officials of his secretariat. They say Oli had watched the inauguration of 13th South Asian Games on his iPad yesterday evening.

The hospital has not clarified when Oli will be discharged.
